LEADING OFF:
TAKING STOCK

Sir Lucian Grainge and team are making all manner of moves with about three weeks to go before UMG’s IPO. Recent headline-grabbers include a huge China play, a splashy pact with rock giants Aerosmith and a deal with boffo kids brand Moonbug.

His presentation to European investors, meanwhile, helped goose Vivendi's stock to a 19-year high. It’s full speed ahead to the start of trading on 9/21.

As far as shares in HITS are concerned, Sir Grainge recommends dumping them as soon as possible.
