Shawn Mendes and Andrew Gertler's AG Ventures are leading a funding round and becoming advisory-board members for 237 Global, the tech, services & VIP-ticketing company launched by biz vet Mark Weiss.
237 Global connects artists, athletes, creators and other A-List celebrities directly to their fans through a suite of white-label apps that serve them from online point of purchase to the fulfillment of unique experiences.
The new round of funding will allow 237 Global to expand its tech, product and marketing teams. The company plans to add features to its current platforms and recruit more artists; it's already created apps for Mendes, Weezer, 24kGoldn, Tate McRae, 311, iann dior and New Kids on the Block.
Other investors include Bret Disend of Ozone Entertainment, Jonathan Gordon and David Ruttenberg of RGI, Matt Galle of CAA and Photo Finish Records, Steve Greenberg of S-Curve Records, Jeremy Levin and David Silberstein of Megahouse Music, business manager Phil Sarna and entertainment attorney Lisa Socransky.
Weiss and Gertler go back to the early twenty-teens, having connected at Warner Music when Weiss was Head of Global Branding and Gertler was in the D2C Division.
We're on the waiting list for the Andrew Gertler VIP experience.
