HOME RUN, TD OR DRAKE RELEASE DATE?

The opening of ESPN’s SportsCenter today contained more than just the customary highlights of baseball games and football practices—it may have revealed the release date of Drake’s next album.

Social media is abuzz with a claim that Drake “hacked” the sequence to announce that Certified Lover Boy (OVO/Republic) would emerge on 9/3.

Instead of the usually crisp, professional photography of baseballs flying into bleachers, the opening dissolved into some dark, glitchy footage that included a cardboard sign bearing the words “CLB September 3.”

We’re hoping it doesn’t just mean that Drake has some club-level tickets to sell for next week’s Blue Jays game.
