A lean collection of new arrivals greets this Flipover Friday as folks prepare for a final week of summer vacation. The Top 10s at Apple Music and iTunes have three new titles each.
The deluxe edition of the fourth album by Afrobeats star Wizkid, Made in Lagos (Starboy/RCA), is the top rookie at Apple Music, coming in at #6, ahead of Lil Tecca’s We Love You Tecca 2 (Galactic/Republic) at #9 and OhGeesy’s GEEZYWORLD (Atlantic) one slot below.
iTunes sees Jay B’s EP SOMO: FUME (H1GHR MUSIC) at #2, with Halsey’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power (Capitol) right behind him, at #3. Stray Kids’ NOEASY (JYP) is #10.
Two entries are blasts from the past: Metallica’s 1991 Metallica, now on Blackened Recordings, is #8. It advances the 30th anniversary edition, out 9/10, and a collection of various artists’ new interpretations of Metallica songs.
Following the death of Charlie Watts, The Rolling Stones’ Hot Rocks 1964-1971 (ABKCO) appears at #9.
At iTunes songs, Luke Combs’ “South on Ya” (River House/Sony Nashville) is #3.
