STREAM OFF: DOMESTIC STREAMS VS. SPOT GLOBAL

Spotify's global reach can be massive for certain acts when compared to their domestic streams. In the numbers below, taken from Spotifycharts.com, some acts earned as much as 200% more streams on the global Spot than its U.S. incarnation.

Pop superstars The Kid LAROI, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, The Weeknd and Billie Eilish more than doubled their U.S. streams on the global stage with their top tracks. In fact, pop smashes overwhelmingly outperform their U.S. numbers globally, with Latin songs also showing strong growth.

Walker Hayes' country hit "Fancy Like," Polo G's "RAPSTAR" and WizKid's "Essence" were the exceptions to the rule, showing a drop in streams and position on Spotify's Global Top 200 compared to their U.S. standing. WizKid's summer heater doesn't even appear on the global chart, though a new remix featuring Justin Bieber could well change that.
