BTS has canceled its global Map of the Soul Tour, which had been on hold since the spring of 2020.
Big Hit said in a statement, “Our company has worked hard to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour, knowing that all fans have been waiting eagerly and long for the tour. Due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned.”
The label said it continues to work on a performance schedule and will provide updates as soon as possible.
Slated to start in April 2020 and visit 18 countries, the road show was going to be the K-pop superstars’ biggest, with 15 stadium shows set for the U.S.
The tour has been postponed since late March 2020, with no new dates announced.
