THIRD MAN FINDS A LONDON HOME
The first of Jack White's Third Man Records stores located outside the U.S. will open on 9/25 on Marshall Street in the heart of London's Soho district.
Third Man Records London will include a two-level retail space and an intimate live-music venue called The Blue Basement. It will serve as the outlet's European headquarters. White, who has also installed Third Man shops in Nashville and Detroit, designed the space.
In celebration of the opening, exclusive vinyl releases from Paul Weller, David Ruffin, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Cornershop, Gina Birch of The Raincoats and The Magic Roundabout will be available on 9/25. They can be found on the Third Man website (soon to be expanding to the U.K./E.U.), at all three Third Man Records stores, in independent record shops everywhere and on limited-edition yellow vinyl exclusively at the Third Man London location.
