SUMMERFEST ADDS COVID PROTOCOLS

Attendees of Milwaukee’s Summerfest will be required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result before being allowed entry to a show. Transpiring the first three weekends of September, the 53rd edition of the festival will feature more than 1,000 performances on 12 stages.

“We collaborated with national health experts and music industry executives and determined this was the best course of action for Summerfest,” said Don Smiley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Milwaukee World Festival. The vaccination/negative test policy kicks in this weekend at other shows produced by Milwaukee World Festival.

Concertgoers' original vaccination card, a printed copy and phone screen shots are acceptable. A negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours of attending the festival. Masks are recommended for indoor spaces, as well for the unvaccinated in large outdoor crowds.

MWF has also increased the number of hand sanitizer stations onsite, instituted overnight deep-cleaning and sanitizing procedures and set up cashless transactions.

For Live Nation shows at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and the BMO Harris Pavilion, ticketholders are advised to check the venue's website and socials for information regarding entrance protocols.
