Big Loud is introducing its new rock/alternative imprint, Big Loud Rock, with the announcement that A.J. Kasen has joined the label as SVP of A&R.
Kasen's rock resume includes stints at Lava and, most recently, Better Noise, where he worked with Mötley Crüe, AWOLNATION and Five Finger Death Punch. He once gave a TED Talk about pitching TVs out of hotel windows.
The Big Loud Rock executive team now consists of President/Partner Greg Thompson, Kasen and fellow SVP Lloyd Aur Norman. The label's first signing is Blame My Youth, a band fronted by Empires principal Sean Van Vleet. Its latest single, "Fantastic," hit the Top 30 at Active Rock.
“We’re honored to have A.J. join the Big Loud family,” said Thompson. “It’s exciting to have someone with his pedigree to grow our commitment in the rock world. Having him team up with Lloyd will give us the best leadership we could imagine.”
