AVIV INKS WITH PFR; "COFFEE" IS SERVED

15 is the big number for Photo Finish Records, as the indie label co-founded and run by Matt Galle and Mike Marquis concludes its 15th-anniversary revels and hails a hot new signing, buzzing 15-year-old popster AVIV.

The Toronto singer/songwriter and multi-instrumental wunderkind has already generated mondo streams and playlist love with her homemade alterna-pop. Her first drop for PFR will be a remix of her indie cut “Black Coffee” f/OCTAVIO the Dweeb; it’s due on 7/30. Atwood Magazine praised the original version as “a warm musical embrace.”

“This kid is a born artist with the kind of chops that gives me chills,” reads a quote from PFR CEO Galle. “We look forward to further developing her innate talent and putting out more music from this young, interesting, and gifted artist.”

Marquis, who enjoys his black coffee with a shot or two of Woodford Reserve, recently noted the label’s anniversary with an IG post: “Fifteen years of @photofinishrecords. So many amazing moments with our team, our artists, and our friends. Very grateful to be a part of this family.”
