Rihanna is worth an estimated $1.7 billion, making her the wealthiest female artist in the world and the second-richest female entertainer after Oprah Winfrey, according to Forbes.
Her earnings from music represent a mere fraction of her wealth—RiRi hasn’t released an album or a solo single since ANTI and “Love on the Brain” in 2016. The bulk of her fortune—an estimated $1.4b—comes from the $2.8b valuation of Fenty Beauty, of which she owns 50%. Her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, is worth around $270m.
Four-year-old Fenty Beauty is a joint venture with French luxury-goods colossus LVMH (run by Bernard Arnault, the world’s second-richest person); it’s sold online and at Sephora, also owned by LVMH. In 2018, its first full year, the makeup line brought in north of $550m in annual revenues, according to LVMH, beating out both Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics and Kim Kardashian West’s KKW Beauty.
