AEG Presents announced today that Scott Holtz has joined its Global Touring and Talent division as Vice President, Ticketing Strategy. In the newly created position, Holtz will be using the latest tech to make real-time pricing decisions in an effort to maximize revenue for the division’s touring artists. We, meanwhile, will continue using the oldest available tech to rehash your press releases.
Holtz, touted as "a pioneer of dynamic pricing strategies and revenue growth," has more than 18 years of event-ticketing experience. He joins AEG Presents after spending the last decade at Live Nation, where he was most recently VP of Pricing and Distribution.
President of Global Touring and Talent Gary Gersh noted that Holtz's talents would be "critical in reshaping the way musicians... are compensated."
Commented Holtz: “As our business looks to a new future and greater opportunities post-pandemic, I hope to bring some new perspectives on ticketing strategy to help increase overall revenue.”
Holtz’s background also includes positions at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn., Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts in Bushkill, Pa., Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia and Princeton University, where he implemented the school’s current, centralized box-office operation. He will continue to be based in New York and looks forward to sending our calls to voice mail.
