SONY PUBLISHING UPS CAROL NG

Sony Music Publishing has promoted Carol NG to President, Asia. Based in the company’s Hong Kong office, NG reports to President, International, Guy Henderson.

NG will continue to cover Sony Music Publishing’s local territories to further strengthen its position throughout the Pan-Asian region. This will include collaborating with Silence Hua, Managing Director, China & Director Greater China, to foster relationships with key digital players in China.

NG will also remain a partner of Kenny Lee, Managing Director, Korea, to ensure the country's place on the world stage representing the likes of HYPE, JYP and Iconic Sounds.

“The Asian region is exciting and varied, with new income sources emerging all the time. It takes a special executive to manage and grow all these facets of our business—Carol is that executive,” Henderson said. “Asia has been a huge growth area for Sony Music Publishing for several years and Carol has been the driving force behind achieving this.”

NG joined EMI Music publishing in 1998 as Finance Manager, later serving as CFO, Asia. She moved to Sony Music Publishing in 2012.
