ELECTRIC LADY GOES LIVE WITH SPOTIFY

Spotify and Electric Lady Studios have partnered on a series of live EPs titled Live at Electric Lady that starts 7/29 with a Jon Batiste set. Future collections will include performances by Patti Smith, Japanese Breakfast and others.

An expansion of their partnership for Spotify Singles, the new series will feature high-quality live audio recordings, distributed exclusively on Spotify. Live EPs will arrive soon from Dominic Fike, Faye Webster, Bleachers, Remi Wolf and Natalie Bergman.

The pianist recorded his session on 5/21 with the saxophonists Kenny Garrett and Gary Bartz, bassist Ron Carter and Joe Saylor, the drummer in Batiste’s touring band and Late Show With Stephen Colbert ensemble.

Lee Foster, Electric Lady’s General Manager and Partner, adds, The idea for ‘Live at Electric Lady’ dates back to as early as the mid-70’s, done typically for various radio stations throughout the years. This, however, is the first time that it’s had a dedicated partner and a concrete plan forward. Having Spotify, its staff, and its know-how has given us the big engine we needed to make this program a success.

"As we look to the future of continued curation of great music, content, and events, this partnership is a great step forward in our evolution, which we look forward to for many years to come.”
