Ed Sheeran has landed straight in at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles midweeks with his new song, “Bad Habits” (Atlantic). Over on albums, Jack Savoretti takes the lead with Europiana (EMI).
Sheeran's first official release since 2019, "Bad Habits” has earned 1.5m streams in its first 48 hours to take the lead. Should it hold onto the top spot, the track will become his 10th #1.
Olivia Rodrigo’s “good 4 u” looks like it will drop to #2; The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” (Island) completes the Top 3.
Eurovision winners Måneskin are on track to continue climbing the Top 10 with two songs: “I Wanna Be Your Slave” (RCA), which is lifted one place to #5, and their cover of “Beggin’,” up three spots to #7.
On the U.K.'s Official Albums chart, Savoretti has a lead of 8k in sales on today’s update, thanks mostly to physical sales and downloads. Last week’s chart-topper, Rodrigo’s SOUR (Polydor), declines to #2 but is still the most-streamed album of the week.
Tyler, The Creator’s CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST (Columbia) is new at #3, followed by Doja Cat’s Planet Her (Ministry of Sound) at #4 and John Grant’s latest, Boy From Michigan (Bella Union), at #5.
Buckcherry is in pursuit of its first U.K. Top 40 album, with Hellbound (Earache) at #8, while Motorhead’s 1981 #1 live album, No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith (BMG), is at #10 with its 40th anniversary reissue.
