EA MUSIC PRESENTS SIMS SESSIONS

EA Music and Maxis have partnered to launch Sims Sessions, a nine-day in-game music festival.

Taking place 6/29-7/9 exclusively in The Sims 4, Sims Sessions marks the first time Simlish songs will debut in game in a festival format.

Returning to The Sims will be two-time Grammy nominee Bebe Rexha, who’ll perform her single “Sabotage” in Simlish, while Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley and Joy Oladokun will serve as openers for the virtual show.

Following the performances, fans can put on a performance of their own with fellow Sims on the festival stage. Players will be able to create festival outfits, camp out and shop exclusive digital merch.

“Sims Sessions is the next evolution of music in The Sims,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive/President of Music, EA. “Nowhere else can players hear and experience these exclusive performances by Bebe, Dave and Joy. With the self-expression destination that is Sims Sessions, EA will once again re-set the bar for gaming, music and global culture.”

Additionally, Rexha will be partnering with TikTok stars for a virtual #SimlishSessions karaoke challenge. Fans will be able to showcase their Simlish skills in duets with Rexha for a chance to be reposted on TikTok.

“I’ve always been a fan of how The Sims empowers players to express their creativity with others in the game,” said Rexha. “Sims Sessions will be a fun experience for fans from around the world to enjoy music and hang with friends in a way that only The Sims can offer. I’m so excited to return to the game and also can’t wait to see the fans posting their Simlish videos of ‘Sabotage!’”

Sims Sessions is free for players who own The Sims 4, which can be purchased at a discount 6/24-6/29.

Since 2004, The Sims series has partnered with nearly 500 artists to record their songs in Simlish.
