AWOLNATION SAILS TO PRIMARY WAVE
Primary Wave has acquired AWOLNATION frontman Aaron Bruno's share of the band's music-publishing catalog. AWOLNATION's 2010 smash "Sail" was recently certified diamond by the RIAA.
The publisher will acquire a majority stake in the artist’s catalog, with the deal encompassing “The Best,” “Run” and “Not Your Fault” as well as “Sail.”
“It’s exciting to have these songs join a class of iconic artists and catalogs that call Primary Wave home,” said Bruno. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with them and to begin working with their team.”
Primary Wave Partner David Weitzman commented, “We are pleased to welcome Aaron Bruno to the Primary Wave family. His triple-threat talent and vision as a songwriter, producer and artist are undeniable. We look forward to partnering with Aaron and his management to take his career to even greater heights.”
The partnership will give Bruno access to Primary Wave’s marketing team and publishing infrastructure, which extends to digital strategy, licensing and synch opportunities plus film, television and theatrical production.
