dcp, CBS, ACM AND OTHER INITIALS (UPDATE)

In the wake of CBS’ decision not to renew its deal with the ACM Awards for $22m per year (up from $20m per annum in the prior term), wonderers are wondering what producing partner dick clark productions will do now. With Amy Thurlow out at dcp, who’s in charge? Is another veteran TV player in the mix? Has Modi Wiczyk, who's running point on the negotiations, screwed the pooch by attempting to gouge the network in the wake of the last show’s depressed ratings? Dcp is now reportedly pitching the show to NBC.

UPDATE: The ACM’s hands are tied, it would seem, as reports are surfacing that the CMAs have already renewed with Disney in a multi-year deal for $22m-per-year that includes programming on ABC, Hulu and Disney+.
