UPDATE: Migos have unveiled the tracklist to CULTURE III. The album has 19 songs with guest features from Drake, Cardi B, Pop Smoke, Juice WRLD, Justin Bieber, Future and Polo G.
Trap pioneers Migos will release CULTURE III on Friday, 6/11, via Quality Control/Motown. The highly anticipated third chapter of the influential rap trio's career arrives nearly three and a half years after its predecessor, CULTURE II, which debuted at #1 in January 2017 with 199k units.
CULTURE II spawned a handful of hits including multiplatinum singles "Motorsport" f/Cardi B & Nicki Minaj, "Walk It, Talk It" f/Drake and the Pharrell-produced "Stir Fry." One of the earliest streaming albums to contain more than 20 tracks, now common practice among hip-hop projects, it's currently at more than 2.8m in total activity.
Since CULTURE II, each of the Migos (Quavo, Offset and Takeoff) has released their own solo album and were part of several smashes outside the group. Quavo was featured on Post Malone's diamond-certified hit "Congratulations" and Justin Bieber's Grammy-nominated "Intentions"; Offset's "Ric Flair Drip" w/Metro Boomin turned into a sextuple-platinum viral sensation; and the three joined Mustard for "Pure Water" (quadruple platinum) in 2019.
Fans are expecting CULTURE III to be packed with heavy features, including previous collaborators Drake and Cardi B. Quavo has hinted at a Pop Smoke appearance.
Friday should be a momentous release day for hip-hop, with Polo G also slated to drop his own highly anticipated third album, Hall of Fame.
