Vevo has released the short film Write Your Heart Out, featuring Olivia Rodrigo, as part of its LIFT series. Shot on film, it depicts the Geffen/Interscope shooting star's songwriting process, her development as an artist and her reflections on what creating music has taught her. Watch Write Your Heart Out below.
Rodriguo is the first LIFT artist of 2021. She previously unveiled filmed live performances via Vevo of “deja vu” and “favorite crime,” which appear on her debut album, SOUR.
“We are so excited to launch our 2021 LIFT program with Olivia,” said JP Evangelista, SVP, Content, Programming and Marketing, Vevo. “Because she is so hardworking and dedicated to her craft, we couldn’t think of a more deserving artist to kick off this year’s program. We’re delighted to be able to showcase Olivia’s personal and musical evolution over the years in this short film and show fans a side of her songwriting process they haven’t seen before.”
Achieving gold RIAA certification its first week, SOUR broke multiple records, including most-streamed album by a female artist in a single week at Spotify, with more than 385m global streams.
As a Vevo LIFT artist, Rodrigo finds herself in the company of Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Halsey, Khalid, Jorja Smith and YUNGBLUD, among others.
