APPLE MUSIC'S GOT PRIDE

In the spirit of Pride, Apple Music has launched a new space to shine a light on the LGBTQ+ community in June and all year round.

Recognizing the LGBTQ+ community’s contributions in the musical space, culturally and beyond, Apple Music is also spotlighting new Pride content every Sunday in June, focusing on themes of equality, resilience and community.

Pride content will include Pride Talks across new Proud Radio with Hattie Collins episodes, which features stories from Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Ben Platt, MNEK, girl in red and more, as well as guest-curated playlists.

Hayley Kiyoko, Mykki Blanco, Troye Sivan, Tayla Parx and Claud have created Apple Music-exclusive playlists like Thrive, Lover Her, Lover, RESIST!, Here ‘N’ Queer, Strike a Pose and more.

“Compiling this playlist and seeing these incredible artists in one space had me feeling truly inspired and empowered. From Tegan and Sara, whose existence made me feel confident about who I loved back in high school, or girl in red being unapologetically herself, I’m proud of what each of these artists represents to the community. I hope this playlist helps spread a little more love, confidence, and positivity to everyone!” Said Kiyoko.

Additionally, Apple Music will have DJ mixes from Moore Kismet, India Jordan, Worthy, serpentwithfeet, Tygapaw, Qrion, Mike Servito, Lelowhatsgood, Octo Octa, Eris Drew and Derrick Carter, radio shows and specials airing across Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country as well as 24-hour takeovers on Apple Music TV on 6/6/, 6/13, 6/20 and 6/27.

Videos, playlists and interviews celebrating Pride will be available on Apple Music’s new Pride page.
