eOne has inked a label deal with Jim Jones and his ByrdGang Records, reuniting Jones with the label that launched his solo career. Under this new global deal, ByrdGang will release several projects prominently featuring Jones while also introducing new artists.
The first full-length album by Jim Jones and ByrdGang is due in the fall, with the first single, featuring Jones and Dyce Peso, dropping in a few weeks.
eOne, formerly KOCH Records, released Jones’ first four albums: On My Way to Church, Harlem: Diary of a Summer, Hustler’s P.O.M.E., and Capo.
Alan Grunblatt, eOne’s President of Urban Music, said, “[Jones] has a remarkable gift for A&R, and I look forward to showcasing new talent together.”
Jones added, “With this next iteration on ByrdGang, I’m very excited to be giving other artists the same chance that someone gave me.”
Grunblatt then offered Jones an apology for forcing him to sit for a photo for HITS.
