Formed in 2018, Rothenberg, Mohr & Binder, LLP brought together three music-biz aces. Paul Rothenberg, Jeremy Mohr and Joshua Binder’s practice encompasses the next generation of music talent, executives, recording and publishing companies and branding endeavors.
Paul Rothenberg boasts a roster that in-cludes Charlie Puth, Logic, Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Andra Day, Trey Songz, Jazmine Sullivan, Tory Lanez, A$AP Ferg, Alaina Castillo, Trevor Daniel, Emotional Oranges and superstar songwriters Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Halsey), Emily Warren (Dua Lipa), Skylar Grey (Eminem) and Nick Long (MGK, Travis Barker), among others. He also reps execs Kevin Liles and Andrew Gertler, along with David Massey’s publishing venture, Work of Art. Recent deals closed by Rothenberg include Puth’s partnerships with Monthly and Yoop, Day’s ambassadorship with Hulu, Logic’s exclusive seven-figure deal with Twitch, Lanez’s groundbreaking recording agreement with Create Music Group and major catalog sales.
Founding attorney Jeremy Mohr represents R&B star Kehlani, who dropped a new album and inked a new publishing deal with Pulse in 2020; Parkwood/Columbia duo Chloe x Halle, who scored branding partnerships with Victoria’s Secret’s Pink and Neutrogena; rapper/producer/executive Hitmaka, who recently entered into a new label venture with Empire; and rap superstar Gunna, who’s repped by Mohr alongside Binder. Mohr also represents numerous songwriters, including Mozella, Ruth-Anne Cunningham and Casey Smith.
Joshua Binder’s clients include perennial hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, home to Kendrick Lamar, SZA and ScHoolboy Q, as well as Marshmello, Gunna, Southside, Flo Milli and entrepreneurial executives Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Moe Shalizi. Marshmello’s ventures span from his groundbreaking label Joytime Collective (Juice WRLD, Halsey, 2K Baby, Demi Lovato), which has yet to sign an exclusive recording contract with any music group, to his investments in Stuffed Puffs marshmallows (available in Walmart and Vons) and Triller—not to mention being one of the most popular DJs and recording artists in the world. Shalizi’s new label Pick Six, home to Morray—the subject of a major bidding war—announced a partnership with Interscope to release the rising rapper’s music.
