PRE-SOUR POWER

The three tracks by Olivia Rodrigo released ahead of SOUR (Geffen/Interscope) have combined for nearly 1b streams on Spotify as the project approaches 500k in total activity before streeting. Depending on the album's first week numbers, it could already have a spot inside the Top 10 on our YTD Overall Activity chart.

She's also in good company with a potential #1 single lined up—"Good 4 U" is in position to make a run at the Hot 100 over the next few weeks, following the year's biggest smash, "drivers license." Having two #1's from the same album, Rodrigo would join The Weeknd and Ariana Grande as the only other artists to do so within the last 30 months.

Among the other feats Rodrigo has achieved with her three pre-release songs: she's spent 50 days atop Spotify's U.S. chart; she's the only artist this year with two songs that went #1 on Spotify Global; she holds the biggest single-day streaming peak on Spotify in 2021 ("drivers license" 13.71m) and the fourth biggest ("Good 4 U" 7.9m).

Not bad for Olivia's first go as a solo artist. Now excuse us while we go cry to "drivers license" one more time before SOUR drops.
