Phil Guerini is about to experience a Jonas reunion, assuming the role of CEO for Jonas Group Entertainment.
The former Disney exec was involved with the trio as they grew into one of the Disney Channel’s biggest stars.
“I had the honor of first meeting the Jonas family and working with Kevin, Joe and Nick back in 2005, so it is extremely special that I now get to join forces with Kevin Jonas Sr. to build something that I feel will be extraordinary,” Guerini said.
The elder Kevin founded Jonas Group Entertainment, which houses entertainment, publishing, and marketing divisions, in 2005 when he was managing his sons.
Based in Nashville, Guerini last oversaw music strategy for Disney Channels Worldwide networks, alongside all aspects of Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country. He spearheaded the development and launch of the a Radio Disney Music Awards, reimagining Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing” and helped launch the careers of Ariana Grande, Gabby Barrett and others. He previously worked for MCA Records, A&M, Chrysalis and East West Records.
Kevin Jonas Sr. praised Guerini as “instrumental” in the Jonas Brothers development. “Phil is a force of nature; a true entertainment professional; a developer of talent and opportunities; a wealth of knowledge and experience; and a personal friend,” he said. “Matching our current projects and talent with his tremendous leadership will assist in bringing Jonas Group Entertainment into its finest days.”
