RANGE TO REP JUSTIN TRANTER

Range Media Partners has announced that it will be representing supernova pop songwriter/producer/creator Justin Tranter, with music partner Michele Harrison leading. Tranter, as you know, is among the most prolific hitmakers in the world of pop, having penned more big songs than you’ve had hot meals (driving some 40 billion streams), collected a warehouse full of awards (including back-to-back BMI Songwriter of the Year laurels), snagged a Grammy nom for Song of the Year and emerged as a leading voice for inclusion, diversity and justice in the biz (as an ACLU Bill of Rights Award attests). The multitasking phenom is also the founder of Facet Records and Facet Publishing.

News of the Range arrangement follows word that Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” one of countless streaming monsters co-written by Tranter, has been certified diamond. Among the myriad other acts with Tranter compositions in their discographies are Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Camila Cabello.

Harrison will work in tandem with Byron Wetzel, Managing Partner in Range’s film and TV division, as Tranter engages in several film and TV projects now in development, including Wild with Idina Menzel. RMP’s sparkly client list also includes Emilia Clarke, Bradley Cooper, Gabrielle Union, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, Ramy Youssef and Keira Knightley; directors like Michael Bay and M. Night Shyamalan; and recording artists Wale, MAX, Midland and D Smoke.

“For what I want in this next phase of my journey, working with Range feels like not only the best choice but possibly the only choice,” reads a quote from Tranter (whose pronouns are they/them/their). “The diverse network of expertise they have created inside their company is perfectly suited to help me achieve my next set of dreams. I’m forever grateful to the stories I’ve gotten to tell through pop music and will continue working on pop projects that deeply inspire me. However, I’m already spreading my wings to tell stories through film, TV and theater and I need a team that can support and elevate those visions. From what I have already seen, the brilliant folks at Range can do just that. I’m beyond excited for this next step of my career and creativity and so grateful to have these new partners to get me to where I’m going.”

“Justin is a singular talent; there is no one else like them,” said Harrison. “And although they are incredibly accomplished, we at Range feel extremely excited about what’s on the horizon for such a multifaceted creative. They are exactly the sort of generational talent we strive to partner with at Range. Justin's heart, vision and of course, raw talent elevates everything and everyone around them. We are honored to represent them and look forward to supporting their ever-expanding universe of creativity and storytelling.”

In addition to Harrison, Range’s music team includes Alec Mitchell, Alicia Mathews, Cameron Lutz, CJ Cook, Evan Winiker, Gregory Johnson, Isaac Zepeda, Jack Minihan, Jordan Dettmer, Kai Gayoso, Leah Bublis, Matt Graham, Melissa Ruderman, Miriam Peacock, Ollie Ayling, Phoebe Wang, Rachel Douglas, Stephanie Marks, Tania Cruz, Tyler Henry, Valentine Banor and Zack Phillips.
