HIPGNOSIS ROCKS WITH ANDY WALLACE

Hipgnosis and its investment adviser, The Family (Music) Limited, has acquired the catalog of Grammy Award-winning producer/mixer/engineer Andy Wallace.

Albums Wallace is credited on have sold more than 120m units worldwide. He started his career in the 1980s and quickly gained recognition for mixing rock instrumentation with hip-hop stylings. In 1986, Wallace landed his first global hit, mixing and engineering Run D.M.C. and Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.”

Among the classic albums Wallace has contributed to are Nirvana's Nevermind; Rage Against the Machine's self-titled album and Evil Empire; Jeff Buckley's Grace; Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory; Coldplay's Viva La Vida; Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy; Foo Fighters' There Is Nothing Left to Lose; System of a Down's Toxicity; Blink-182's self-titled album; and Sheryl Crow's The Globe Sessions.

Wallace has also collaborated with Paul McCartney, Prince, Rush, Slayer, Bruce Springsteen and many more legendary artists.
