Live Nation President Joe Berchtold will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer following the retirement of CFO Kathy Willard. The transition occurs on 7/1.
Willard, who has been with the company nearly 25 years, will consult on the transition and serve as an adviser to the management team.
“Kathy’s leadership, vision and financial expertise have driven more than two decades of growth and will forever be part of Live Nation’s journey,” said President and CEO Michael Rapino. “Kathy has been here since day one of Live Nation, and on behalf of the entire team, I want to thank her for her remarkable dedication and enormous contributions to our company.”
Willard spent the past 14 years managing Live Nation's finances, during which it saw 10 consecutive record years of growth. She was appointed CFO in September 2007 following nine years in various roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. She devoted the last year to business improvements and cost-cutting measures.
Rapino said the company has deepened its executive team “to provide more leadership on strategy, operations and innovation than ever before," continuing, "This will allow Joe to take on our CFO role and together, we will continue to focus on maintaining a strong financial position while ensuring that Live Nation is ready to resume live shows as soon as possible.”
