THE GOVERNORS BALL-PARK

The Governors Ball is moving to the home of the New York Mets, Citi Field, with a lineup that includes Billie Eilish, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky and J Balvin.

The three-day festival, previously held on Randall's Island in June, will be mounted 9/24-26, right about the time the locker rooms are preparing to ice some playoff champagne.

Among the reasons for the venue change: easier access via public transportation, better layout of stages and more flexibility in dealing with weather events.

Ticket presales starts Thursday, though the number of tickets is limited. Organizers Founders Entertainment plan to move the festival back to June in 2022.

Consult the video above to get a sense of how the new venue will play out.
