TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Shazam users have pushed an eclectic collection of five songs up the Shazam USA Top 100. Thumbs were busy during the Academy Awards and screenings of Mortal Kombat and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Also getting ears to perk up is the latest from Virgin Music Mexico’s Gera MX & Christian Nodal, “Botella Tras Botella,” and Young M.A.’s freshly dropped “Beatbox Freestyle.” If you dig her, she lists her phone number in the YouTube metadata so you can text.

Leading the biggest movers on the Shazam charts in the U.S. and U.K. is Curtis Harding’s 2017 release “On and On” (Anti) following its use in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Stevie Wonder’s 1976 gem “As” (Motown)—a song plenty of people think is titled “I’ll Be Loving You Always”—flies up the chart after being used on the Oscars during the In Memoriam segment.

Benjamin Wallfisch’s “Techno Syndrome 2021 (Mortal Kombat)” (Water Tower) rounds out the Top 5.
