Darkroom/Interscope superstar Billie Eilish is spreading the word on the socials about her forthcoming album, Happier Than Ever (due 7/30), describing it as "my favorite thing I've ever created." She's also confirmed that the drop of a new song is slated for 4/29. Brother/collaborator FINNEAS also weighed in on IG.
The forthcoming album now has its own TikTok account.
The Grammy-dominating, chart-ruling artist and songwriter galvanized social media in the preceding days by showing off a newly blonde look, which MTV described in a coment as "a pop culture emergency."
Of course Happier is a relative term for a generation that has grown up under the thumb of social-media pettiness, did school-shooting drills, withstood Trump and has lately been occupied by surviving a plague. If Happier times await, though, surely a new Eilish album is a harbinger.
