An internal memo circulated to UMG staff has announced plans for a “phased” reopening of the label group’s offices starting on 9/13, according to a person familiar with the situation.
The memo, we're told, was issued by Chief People & Inclusion Officer Eric Hutcherson, who noted that the process would follow guidelines from public-health epxerts—with different rules for different cities depending on each location’s COVID status.
The emphasis will be on “business critical” meetings and other interchanges that can’t be optimally achieved remotely. Remote meetings will be encouraged wherever possible. Masks will be required in all offices until further notice.
Naturally, given the volatility of the pandemic and the many variables associated with it (including vaccinations), this and all plans are subject to change. Stay tuned for updates.
