TOMMY BROWN INKS WITH UMPG

UMPG has inked a global publishing deal with Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter and recording artist Tommy Brown.

Co-creating numerous chart-toppers, Brown has collaborated with stars like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Travis Scott, John Legend, BLACKPINK, Chris Brown and Fifth Harmony, among others.

Most notably, he worked with Grande on all six of her studio albums, including executive producing her latest #1 album, Positions, as well as its #1 title track and “34+35,” which peaked at #2. He’s also co-produced Grande’s “thank u, next,” “7 rings” and “Boyfriend.”

Throughout his career, Brown has also co-produced hits like Justin Bieber’s “Holy” f/Chance the Rapper, BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” f/Selena Gomez, Juice WRLD’s “Make Believe,” Machine Gun Kelly’s “Candy” f/Trippie Redd, Megan Thee Stallions’ “Rich” and produced several tracks on Meghan Trainor's sophomore album, Thank You, among others.

"Tommy is the real deal," reads a quote from pubbery boss Jody Gerson. "He is a top-notch songwriter and producer, and he is one of the best early identifiers of talent. I’m thrilled to welcome him to UMPG and look forward to having loads of success together."

“I’ve known Tommy for years now and I am so impressed with the talented, creative producer he is today,” added David Gray, UMPG’s Co-Head of A&R. “This is the beginning of what will undoubtedly be a successful and thriving partnership.”

“Thank you, Jody Gerson, David Gray and UMPG. I’ve always had great long-term business with Universal and I’m happy to be joining the publishing family. UMPG is a first-class support system for creatives and I look forward to making history together,” said Brown.

The deal builds upon Brown’s relationship with UMG, who he partnered with in 2019 to launch his Champagne Therapy Music Group.
