From the good news department comes this dispatch: Legendary Hollywood eatery Musso & Frank Grill will be reopening on 5/6.
The century-old Hollywood Boulevard restaurant with the classic menu and perfect cocktails has been shuttered since 7/29—thanks a lot, COVID—and its return will bring considerable cheer to Angelenos eager for the resumption of civic life. A tray of those masterfully prepared martinis, we hasten to add, will take some of the sting out of losing the Arclight. The Musso's reopening happens just in time for Mother's Day.
Maybe you've dined on sauerbraten and prime rib at Musso's, or maybe you've only seen its elegant interiors in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. In any case, we'll be at the corner table, too sloshed on gin to pronounce "Bouillabaisse Marseillaise."
