Rising rapper/singer Morray has inked a deal with Interscope, in partnership with Moe Shalizi's Pick Six Records.
The North Carolina breakout has received stamps of approval from rap heroes like Jay-Z, Drake and N.C. all-stars J. Cole and DaBaby. Led by the melodic, fast-rapping single "Quicksand," Morray has amassed more than 80m views on YouTube.
“Morray is an undeniable talent with infectious energy,” said IGA CEO John Janick. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Moe and his incredible team at Pick Six for what’s to come.”
“The first time I heard 'Quicksand' I knew Morray was a global superstar in the making,” said Baroline Diaz, VP of A&R at Interscope. “I’m excited for the world to get to know him and hear what he's been working on."
Added Shalizi, “There was so much synergy between our side and Interscope that it just felt right. We are really excited to be working with John Janick and the rest of the team.”
