Taylor Swift’s third album in nine months, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), is a lock for #1 on this week’s HITS Top 50. Punching above forecast, the Republic release could top 300k. This is especially noteworthy considering the majority of the album is made up of re-recorded tracks from 2008's Fearless, which has sold more than 10m album equivalents to date.
Swift will now hold the Top 3 debuts in the stretch that began in July 2020 with the release of folklore.
Fearless (Taylor's Version) will be parent distro UMG’s 19th straight week at #1.
The Best of DMX (Def Jam) looks like a Top 10 contender following the rapper’s death on Friday. How it trends will be determined in the next few days but for now, we’re giving it a wide range of 30-50k in total activity.
Taylor Swift, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (Republic), 275-325k total activity; 160-190k albums
Brockhampton, Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine (RCA), 28-32k; 12-14k
