The Weeknd raked in nearly $2.29m from his first round of NFT offerings, with an animated video accompanied by an unreleased song garnering nearly half a million bucks.
Bidding on the unreleased track closed at $490,000 on Sunday.
The Weeknd’s collection of three open editions, two silent auctions and two raffles was put together with visual artist Strange Loop Studios and sold through Nifty Gateway.
The auctioned items, which featured excerpts of the unreleased track, brought in about $1m.
