The Weeknd and Strangeloop Studios’ collaborative collection of virtual multimedia art pieces went live Saturday afternoon, and there’s already action aplenty at the two NFT auction sites.
The current bid on the “source” sculpt of the artist—“rendered in a vacant void,” according to the accompanying text—is at $112k and change,” while four of the five associated “remnants left behind by the passage of time” are sold out.
The hub of the collection is an unreleased song by The Weeknd and the “source” sculpt. Each of the three audio-visual pieces offered as open editions contains a section of the song with a filtered effect, while visuals of three “artifacts” and four static artworks are being offered as 2x silent auctions and 2x drawings.
