Warner Chappell President of A&R Ryan Press poses with breakout rapper Saweetie to celebrate the re-upping of the pubco’s deal with the Warner Records artist. We probably don’t need to tell you that the deal encompasses compositions like “Back to the Streets” f/Jhené Aiko, “Tap In,” “Pretty Bitch Freestyle” and “Best Friend” f/Doja Cat.
“We’re in the business of taking early bets on artists and helping develop them into global sensations,” reads a quote from Ryan that accompanied the news, “and that’s exactly the trajectory Saweetie is on.” For her part, Saweetie declared,”Ryan and the whole Warner Chappell team have become family over the years. It’s amazing to look back at everything we’ve accomplished together, and I’m excited for this next chapter.”
We note that both Ryan and Saweetie look like a million bucks in this photo, while we're not even fit to be seen on a Zoom.
