George Ash, President, Universal Music Australia & New Zealand has unveiled the team that will run the Virgin Music Label And Artist Services operation Down Under.

Timothy Janes, who steered Caroline Australia from its inception in 2013, has been appointed Managing Director, Virgin Australia Label and Artists Services and he’s drawing on much of the Caroline staff. Sam Cross and Ella Symons have been promoted to Senior Label Manager; Claire Tate moves into the newly created position of Marketing and Audience Manager; and Lachlan Duthie joins the team as Label Coordinator. Juliette Younger and Jodie Grinsted are the Media and Promotions Managers.

“Tim and the Melbourne based Caroline Australia team have built a formidable label that will continue to grow with the new global launch of Virgin Music Label and Artist Services,” Ash said. “Their incredible roster and existing label partnerships will benefit from the significant global infrastructure and support that the new Virgin Music Label services division will provide internationally.”

Virgin Music Australia’s roster includes Aitch, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Mac DeMarco and Dave and global label partnerships 10k Projects, Loma Vista Recordings, Because Music, Photo Finish and others.
