DEF JAM'S PRESTON EARNS EVP STRIPES

Def Jam A&R veteran Noah Preston has been promoted to Executive Vice President, A&R. Based in Santa Monica, he will report directly to Interim CEO Jeff Harleston.

Known for his recent work on Chilombo by Jhené Aiko and Logic’s No Pressure, Preston is currently working with YG on his sixth studio album and Hit-Boy on his debut set. He started at Def Jam in 2009 as an intern.

“Noah has played a pivotal role in successfully bringing home some of Def Jam’s most important core artists over the course of the past 10 years,” Harleston said. “As the roster continues to expand its scope and direction, Noah’s contributions make him one of the prime architects of Def Jam’s future.”

Preston, who signed Aiko and Logic, was promoted to Vice President, A&R, in 2014 and SVP in 2018.
