TUNDE AND JUSTICE ARE WHAT'S NEXT

Tunde Balogun and Justice Baiden of LVRN will be keynote speakers at the Music Biz #NEXTGEN_NOW virtual summit on 4/15. Targeted to young music-biz pros, the three-day online program kicks off 4/13.

LVRN, created by five first-generation immigrants with familial roots in Africa and the Caribbean, has cultivated such major acts as Summer Walker and 6LACK, as well as multiple up-and-comers.

Co-Founder/Prez Balogun and Co-Founder/Head of A&R Baiden will undoubtedly command a large and focused audience for this session, slated to kick off at 3:05pm ET. Their Atlanta-based music company is about as “next gen” as it gets, encompassing label, management, multimedia and other functions and noted for its civic-minded philanthropic efforts.

“After the fervor surrounding our first #NEXTGEN_NOW conference, it’s clear that our community is hungry for discussions about the future of our industry and the young professionals who are shaping it,” said Music Biz President Portia Sabin. “We’re thrilled to welcome Tunde and Justice to the #NEXTGEN_NOW program to break down their unique approach to running a modern music company like LVRN, lending their perspectives as to why age doesn’t always equal authority.”

Other #NEXTGEN_NOW panelists will include UMPG A&R powerhouse Lillia Parsa, TikTok’s Brandon Holman, EMPIRE’s Peter Kadin, Create Music Group’s Cindy Nguyen, WMG’s Christine Osazuwa and many more. Registration info can be found here.
