This week marks an approximate one-year anniversary of lockdown—for most of us, the last club shows and concerts, the final parties and in-person happy hours and the ultimate office workdays before quarantine happened in March of 2020. It’s been a stressful year, full of loss, anguish and worry but also marked by surprising growth and opportunity in many sectors. With something close to normal glimmering on the horizon, we’re taking a little time to reflect on the strangest year ever. May we never have another like it.
