U.K. MIDWEEKS: GRENNAN ON THE ROAD TO #1

Tom Grennan’s second album, Evering Road (Insanity), sits at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, but the artist may be looking at a horse race. Over on singles, KSI is challenging Nathan Evans for the top spot.

Grennan sits 1,700 in sales ahead of British rock band Thunder, new at #2 today with All the Right Noises (BMG). Central Cee’s self-released debut mixtape, Wild West, is the most-streamed album of the week so far at #3, followed by Lifeline (Codename), by indie-pop artist RJ Thompson, at #4.

In the wake of the Yungblud Show livestream, Yungblud’s Weird! (Interscope) is back in the Top 5, while Rob Zombie could pick up his first U.K. Top 10 album with The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (Nuclear Blast), at #7. Selena Gomez’s Spanish-language EP, Revelacion (Interscope), is #9, and the David Bowie live album Something in the Air (Parlophone) is #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, KSI’s “Patience” (BMG/Atlantic) f/Yungblud and Polo G is new at #2, behind Nathan Evans’ “Wellerman” (Polydor) f/220 Kid and Billen Ted, at #1.

The long reign of Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” (Polydor) looks set to end on Friday; the track has slipped to #16 today.

British newcomers A1 & J1 are zooming toward the Top 5, with their TikTok hit, “Latest Trends” (EMI), up nine places to #3. Travis Scott & HVME’s dance smash, “Goosebumps” (Ministry of Sound), is projected to climb into the Top 10, up three spots to #8.

Two more dance tracks are on course to enter this week’s Top 10: ATB, Topic & A7S’s “Your Love (9pm)” (EMI) is up five places to #9 and Joel Corry, Raye & David Guetta’s “BED” (Atlantic) leaps seven spots to #10.
