CHART STORY: NINE WEEKS OF WALLEN

Big Loud/Republic hitmaker Morgan Wallen logs his ninth consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50. Dangerous: The Double Album tacks on another 77k to its total. Wallen’s album—the year’s biggest release by a mile—hasn’t just stayed afloat amid controversy, it’s likely headed for a 10th straight week at the top.

The Weeknd’s After Hours (XO) and Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon (Victor Victor) follow at #2 and #3, respectively, giving Monte Lipman’s Republic its third consecutive week controlling the Top 3. Drake’s Scary Hours 2 project scores another three-run homer for Team Lipman with the three most-streamed songs of the week.

Rock returns among the top debuts, as RCA’s Kings of Leon bow at #12 with When You See Yourself, and Epic’s Chevelle enters at #13 with Niratias.

Notable action elsewhere on the chart includes Latin R&B star Kali Uchis, which spends its second week inside the Top 50 with Sin Miedo (Interscope) as single “telepatía” explodes at DSPs, and Eminem’s Curtain Call and Music to be Murdered By, which have received boosts following Gen-Z’s unsuccessful TikTok campaign to cancel the rap icon.

Streeting this week are new projects from Interscope’s Selena Gomez, Island’s Nick Jonas and Epic’s GIVĒON (deluxe), as well as Grammy nominees Jhené Aiko (a 2011 reissue on Artclub/Def Jam) and CHIKA (Warner).
