BLACK BONDS WITH SONY PUBLISHING

Don Black, whose compositions include multiple James Bond themes, "To Sir With Love," and Michael Jackson’s “Ben,” has extended his worldwide deal with Sony Music Publishing U.K.

A member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Black is currently writing songs with Van Morrison and collaborating on various new musicals. Known primarily as a lyricist, his Bond themes include "Thunderball," "Diamonds Are Forever," "The Man With The Golden Gun" and "Surrender" from Tomorrow Never Dies.

“Don is a living legend and a true hero of ours,” Sony Music Publishing UK President, Co-Managing Director David Ventura and Co-Managing Director Tim Major said. “Sony Music Publishing has a proud history with Don and it is a true honor for us to have the opportunity to expand and re-energize the relationship.”

Black has won an Oscar for “Born Free,” two Tony Awards for Sunset Boulevard, six Ivor Novello Awards and a Golden Globe. He most recently received the Olivier Award presented by the Duchess of Cornwall.
