Def Jam’s Jhené Aiko recently appeared on CBS This Morning to discuss her Grammy-nominated album, Chilombo.
Ahead of the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, the triple-nominated Aiko shares with Jamie Yuccas the set's themes of love, loss, sex, self-empowerment and healing during the program's Road to the Grammys segment.
“That’s my go-to form of therapy, creating these songs that allow me to express what I'm feeling,” said Aiko about her writing process. “It’s always been so healing for me.”
The platinum-selling Chilombo has accumulated more than 2b global streams.
Aiko is set to host this year's Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, the event at which most of the awards are given out. It kicks off at noon PT/3pm ET on 3/14 and will be available to stream on Grammy.com.
