IT'S DRAKE SEASON

Drake season is upon us. The OVO/Republic streaming king has announced that new music is arriving at midnight. The EP Scary Hours II signals that Certified Lover Boy, his delayed sixth studio album, which was due in January, is near. The music world is expecting a pair of tracks to arrive on Friday.

Drake dropped his first Scary Hours EP, which included "God's Plan," the lead single from Scorpion, in 2018.

The new EP follows "Laugh Now, Cry Later" f/Lil Durk, which is the lead single from CLB. "Laugh" has earned Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance.

In 2020, Drake dropped Dark Lane Demo Tapes, a mixtape that debuted at #2, opening with 223k units.

Scorpion, his most recent studio album, debuted at #1 with 732k. It holds the record for first-week streams (746m) and most first-day streams at Spotify (132m) and Apple Music (170m).
