In our latest Noisemakers roundup, we present a fresh batch of rising professionals from different areas of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.
Unfortunately, a look on this site reeks like a bad Easter egg left undiscovered in the heat.
Miriam Camara
Senior Director, Business & Legal Affairs, Warner Records
Part of the fun for Camara is having a front-row seat to Warner artists’ development from the jump. For example, after cranking out the deal for Chika, she saw the rap prodigy pick up a Grammy nom for Best New Artist. Currently, she’s working on a biopic produced by her family’s production company on Wu-Tang affiliate Shyheim the Rugged Child. On top of all that, Miriam’s got game, having been a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Let’s Make a Deal. Next up, Supermarket Sweep!
Gaby Fainsilber
Head of Digital Marketing, Crush
What’s the equivalent of a marketing mosh pit? How about rolling out the launch of three albums, three singles, three videos and a stadium tour all at once? Beyond that, Fainsilber got the chance to experience a literal mosh pit during Green Day’s set at the Whisky after launching the subsequently postponed Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. Now Gaby is focused on new albums from Weezer and Sia and ushering in a new era for Marina. This digital pro isn’t afraid to get physical—she’s a second-degree black belt.
Donny “Dizzy” Flores
Executive Producer/A&R/Manager
Flores, who cut his teeth in the Miami club scene, has had a hand in numerous recent global hits, including “Taki Taki,” “Loco Contigo” and Internet Money’s “Lemonade.” The lead A&R and EP for DJ Snake, who has a new album on the way, and a Latin Grammy winner for his work with J Balvin, Dizzy moonlights as a consultant for Roc Nation and UMLE. The list of artists he’s tied to also includes Tyga, Lil Mosey, Doja Cat, Ozuna, Sia and Tainy. In Dizzy’s kitchen, all chefs are welcome.
Landon Hornbeck
Product Manager, Dispatch, Ingrooves
Having worked with Cursive, Russian Circles and Gang Starr, Hornbeck now finds himself connected to some of the artists who inspired him to start playing music as a teen and to subsequently enter the biz. Aside from enjoying the process of releasing music, he takes pride in helping labels and artists thrive in the advertising milieu. In his spare time, Landon builds and modifies guitars and guitar pedals. He’s totally immersed.
Steven Rowen
VP International Marketing, Island Records
A diehard Arsenal fan, Rowen is used to suffering through extreme highs and lows. But in his gig at Island, it’s mostly highs, including seeing Shawn Mendes sell out his first stadium show at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and going to his first gig in Brazil alongside 100k fans at Rock in Rio. At present, Steven is working with artists like Remi Wolf, who’s redefining what it means to be "alternative" and—speaking of highs—Skip Marley, whose Higher Place EP led to a pair of Grammy nominations.
Kelly Stelbasky
SVP Global Touring, AEG
Mentored by legendary agent Chip Hooper, Stelbasky was gratified to become the first recipient of Billboard’s Chip Hooper Award, which honors rising executives in the touring business. When she’s not working on livestreams or Zooming colleagues, the live-sector veteran is doing all she can to bring her team and partners back to work and get fans back to packed venues. Since the early days of the pandemic, Kelly has been spending her downtime on the golf course, where she’s working hard to keep her score under triple digits.
Nicole Csabai
VP of Revenue, Interscope
Since arriving on our shores from her native Blighty, Csabai has crossed the country twice, bouncing from L.A. to Music City before heading back to the West Coast to begin her current job at Interscope. At the moment, she’s focused on projects for such stars as DaBaby, Selena Gomez and Lana Del Rey as well as rising acts Alexander 23 and Tierra Whack. A concert vet and huge Nick Cave fan, Nicole was once fortunate enough to meet the indie-rock icon following a gig with Spiritualized. That photo’s a keeper.
Erika Alfredson
SVP Marketing, Columbia
A onetime All-American collegiate soccer player, Alfredson has scored plenty of goals since joining Columbia. You can file the high-profile global campaigns she’s worked on for Harry Styles, Rosalía, The Kid LAROI and BTS under “Stan Hall of Fame.” Erika was also lucky enough to see Adele headline Glastonbury in 2016—a magical ending to the first leg of the 25 tour. Thanks to the stout marketing of Alfredson's team, we had to convince our bosses that “Eroda” was just “Adore” spelled backwards, not an actual vacation destination.
