J. Balvin delivered a surprise performance during Saturday night's PPV boxing event, debuting his new single, "Ma' G." The UMLE superstar escorted champ Canelo Alvarez to the ring and performed a mini-concert at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
"Ma' G" is the reggaeton ambassador's first solo release of 2021 and the first taste of an album due later this year. Its lead single was produced by longtime Balvin collaborator Sky Rompiendo (Vibras, Oasis, Colores). The track is a return to the Colombian superstar's rap roots. Its accompanying video showcases the Medellín barrio where he grew up.
Balvin released his fourth studio album, Colores, in 2020. His ascent to global prominence—he has accumulated more than 48 billion career streams and become the #1 Latin artist on Spotify, YouTube, VEVO, Deezer and Shazam—has led to collaborations with McDonalds, Fortnite and Jordan.
